I am a practicing dentist. When I am not treating patients or spending time with my family, my passion is photography.
I began doing photography as a hobby as a teenager in 1977 by doing a slide show on water pollution in Tampa bay. I used my Dad’s Nikkormat EL (which i still have) and his Nikkor lenses. I discovered that I enjoyed it immensely. I received a Nikon FE for Christmas in 1979. The advent of digital photography has renewed my interest.
I am a member of NAPP, and of Kelby Training. I volunteer my time as an instructor for the photography merit badge for the Boy Scouts of America, as well as being a visiting instructor for Seffner Christian Academy HS 's creative photography class.
Awards & Exhibitions: My photographs have won numerous awards at the Florida State Fair, from Tampa Bay Magazine, and Florida State Parks. They have also been exhibited at Southshore Gallery, the Kotler Gallery in downtown Tampa, and Center Place in Brandon.
